Reproducing red (Californian) worms and producing biohumus

Our “Permaculture initiatives among women” involved not only women, but also their family members. Nursultan (the participant’s son) shares his first year experience of growing red worms. As part of the project we bough 5 kg of red worms to each demonstration site. 1 kg=500 KGS (7 USD). In 3 summers months, 5 kg reached up to 100 kg worms. And their family produced approximately 1 tonnes of biohumus (1000* 30 or 50 KGS). Roughly, the family earned 80000-100000 KGS (1000-1200 USD) .
