Apricot Festival “Kyzyl Oruk”

Annually El-Too with the support of local communities and local authorities organizes the apricot festival.

The area is known for abundant apricots that are sold by locals to intermediaries exporting to Russia and Kazakhstan. One average village with 4-5 thousand population producer over 1500 tons of apricot. The given festival motivates local communities to produce their products from apricot and sell for higher price then just selling raw. The festival is usually held in July and gather international and local travelers and local producers.

The participant learn making jams, compotes, and producing juices from apricots from the workshops.
